ARGUS Software™ University Programme Overview - Product Certification
ARGUS Software has revised our offering to universities in UK/Europe, and at the same time has introduced a product certification programme that will initially cover two of our products, ARGUS Valuation - DCF and ARGUS Developer, and soon after ARGUS Valuation - Capitalisation. The latter provides the UK methodology for property valuation.
Our objectives are to:
reduce cost burden on universities to use our software as a teaching aid and thereby allow students to become conversant in industry standard packages
provide a valuable "qualification" to help students secure employment through product certification on the most widely used packages
The software will be provided in server academic licences for 50 users at no charge (with no ongoing support or maintenance charge). These will be available for teaching purposes on university networks only.
Software (six month academic licence) for personal laptops for students will be included as part of the product certification. This will include a day of classroom tuition and an online exam (3 hours). The exam provides a useful "qualification" that shows potential employers that students have a good working knowledge of the software. Each student who passes the exam will receive a certification document valid for two years.
This is a new venture for ARGUS, and we are being encouraged by the larger surveying practices to promote product certification as widely as possible. We believe it could become a requirement for new professional staff in the future.
Product certification packs are also available to corporate clients looking to promote better use of ARGUS solutions within their organisations.
